About Cudahy

Cudahy is a Milwaukee County city on the Lake Michigan shore, just south of Milwaukee. Originally known as the Buckhorn Settlement, it was renamed after meatpacker Patrick Cudahy bought hundreds of acres in the old Town of Lake in the late 1800s. That industrial origin still fits the city's working South Shore character. Cudahy has its own school district, older neighborhoods, lakefront access, and quick ties to Milwaukee and the airport. It feels compact, blue-collar, and unmistakably part of metro Milwaukee.
