Dahlgren is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in King George County, Virginia, situated near the Potomac River. Established in 1918 as a naval proving ground named for John Dahlgren and home to the Dahlgren Heritage Museum, the community of approximately 3,350 is served by the King George County Public Schools district for public education.
