Daniel, WY

Set in the upper Green River Valley along Highway 189, Daniel offers quiet rural living with mountain views in almost every direction. The Wind River Range rises to the east, while the Gros Ventre and Wyoming ranges frame the rest of the valley. The Green River and Horse Creek meet right near town, giving residents easy access to excellent fishing, hunting, and miles of open ranch country.

The area has deep frontier roots, having served as a major gathering point for mountain men during the fur trade era and the site of Wyoming's first Catholic Mass in 1840. Today, it draws people who value open space, dark night skies, and a slower pace. Daniel itself remains small and peaceful, but Pinedale is an easy fifteen-minute drive down the road for schools, groceries, and dining.
