Dansville is a village located in the town of North Dansville, Livingston County, New York, situated along the Canaseraga Creek valley. Established in 1795 and famous as the home of the historic Jackson Sanatorium and the site where Clara Barton founded the first American Red Cross chapter in 1881, the community of approximately 4,653 is served by the Dansville Central School District locally today.
