About De Graff

De Graff is a Logan County village on the edge of the Miami Valley, with the 2020 census counting 1,250 residents. It was incorporated in 1864 and named for a railroad man; the village grew around early mills, schools, and rail connections. A 1914 fire destroyed much of the south business district, but the place kept rebuilding, and the railroad still sits underneath the local story even though the old passenger era is gone. Riverside Local School District is the village's biggest current institution, with its PK-12 campus just outside the center and WDEQ-FM student radio attached to the school system.

The village park, library, utility office, and main-street buildings keep the civic map compact. The result is a village that feels school-centered today but still has railroad bones. The old fire is still part of the local memory. De Graff's local scoop is a small Logan County village where a railroad name, a school district, and a century of rebuilding still share the same few blocks.
