About Deephaven

Deephaven is a small Hennepin County city on Lake Minnetonka, settled in 1876 by St. Louis attorney Charles Gibson. Minnetonka Boulevard is a main route, but the lake setting is the real point: wooded streets, old resort history, boat culture, and residential residential pockets. The Onawa, connected to local lake history, is displayed at the Excelsior-Lake Minnetonka Historical Society Museum. Deephaven feels affluent, leafy, and deeply lake-oriented, with Minneapolis close enough for commuting but not enough to erase the shoreline mood.
