About Delafield

Delafield is a small city in Waukesha County's lake country, west of Milwaukee. Established in 1837 and named for Dr. Charles Delafield, it has older village roots but also a polished suburban and recreational feel. Cushing Memorial Park honors the Cushing brothers, giving the city a notable Civil War memorial site. Delafield is served largely by the Kettle Moraine School District and sits near lakes, trails, shops, and I-94. It feels historic, outdoorsy, and affluent without losing its small downtown scale.
