Dellwood, MN

Tucked along the northeast shore of White Bear Lake, Dellwood is a peaceful residential community about 20 minutes northeast of St. Paul. Home to around 1,200 residents, the city got its start in the late 19th century as a summer resort for city dwellers escaping the heat. Today, that lakeside heritage lives on through historic architecture, leafy winding lanes, and generous wooded lots that give the neighborhood a private, semi-rural feel.

For newcomers, one of the biggest draws is the highly regarded Mahtomedi School District, which Dellwood shares with neighboring towns. Highway 96 runs directly through the area for straightforward commutes across the Twin Cities, though residents find most daily conveniences, local dining, and boating right down the road in downtown White Bear Lake.
