Delta, LA

Delta is a tiny village right along a bend of the Mississippi River, sitting just across the bridge from Vicksburg. It is best known as the birthplace of pioneering entrepreneur Madam C.J. Walker and holds a slice of Civil War history at the Grant’s Canal site. With only a handful of residents, day-to-day essentials and Madison Parish public schools are located a short drive west in Tallulah or east across the state line in Vicksburg.
