Desert View Highlands, CA

Desert View Highlands is a small, quiet neighborhood tucked right into the heart of Palmdale in the Antelope Valley. While it is officially an unincorporated pocket of Los Angeles County with around 2,700 residents, day-to-day life feels completely connected to the surrounding city. The area is mostly made up of established single-family homes, with two local elementary schools right in the neighborhood. Like much of the high desert, living here brings bright sunny skies, breezy afternoons, and chilly winter nights, making low-maintenance yards and good air conditioning everyday priorities.

For everything outside the neighborhood, residents look to Palmdale. Grocery stores, retail centers, casual dining, and green spaces like McAdam Park are all just a short drive away. Older students filter into the Palmdale and Antelope Valley high school systems, while local commuters often work in the valley's major aerospace facilities or logistics hubs. Downtown Los Angeles sits about an hour and a half to the south, but with plenty of local jobs and services, most residents find what they need right at home in the Antelope Valley.
