Devola, OH

Devola is a quiet community perched along the Muskingum River, just a few minutes north of historic Marietta. Home to around 2,700 people, it offers a relaxed feel with spacious lots and scenic river valley views. The area got its start in the early 1800s around a mill built by the Devol family near Devol's Dam, and that peaceful riverside setting still defines the area today. It is an easy place to settle down if you appreciate quiet residential streets and a slower pace.

Most everyday routines take residents straight down State Route 60 into Marietta for groceries, healthcare, and dining. Local kids attend Marietta City Schools, with buses picking up throughout the neighborhood for campuses down the road. The housing consists largely of established single-family homes, with wooded hillsides and patches of farmland stretching out toward the edges. With its own community pool, local parks, and quick access to town, Devola offers a comfortable blend of suburban quiet and everyday convenience.
