Dixon, CA

Dixon started with an unusual move in the late 1800s, when local residents literally picked up their buildings and shifted the entire town closer to the new railroad tracks. Today, that compact layout still works in its favor. With around 21,000 residents, Dixon sits comfortably along Interstate 80 in Solano County, tucked right between the Sacramento Valley and the Bay Area.
