Dublin is a city and the county seat of Laurens County, Georgia, situated along the Oconee River. Incorporated in 1812 and named by its first postmaster after his Irish homeland, the community of approximately 16,100 celebrates its heritage with an annual month-long St. Patrick's Festival in March. The city features a historic downtown district, highlighted by the historic 1934 Theatre Dublin, and is served by the Dublin City School District.
