Dublin, TX

Known officially as the Irish Capital of Texas, Dublin is a small, welcoming town about an hour and a half southwest of Fort Worth. Community pride runs deep here, peaking every March when the town comes alive with a weeklong St. Patrick's celebration complete with parades, pageants, and local gatherings. Dublin is also famous for Dublin Bottling Works, which has been turning out vintage cane-sugar sodas since 1891 and remains a beloved landmark. Along with its bottling legacy and ties to golf legend Ben Hogan, who grew up here, the town has a rich history that gives it plenty of charm.

Daily life in Dublin moves at a relaxed, friendly pace centered around the historic storefronts along Blackjack Street. Local families are served by the close-knit Dublin Independent School District, where school sports and the Dublin Lions bring neighbors together on Friday nights. For outdoor recreation, nearby Lake Proctor offers great bass fishing, boating, and camping just a short drive down the road. It is an easygoing rural community with genuine character, offering quiet country living with easy access to shopping and dining in neighboring Stephenville.
