Dundas, MN

Sitting along the Cannon River just south of Northfield, Dundas is a quiet community of around 1,900 residents. The town got its start in the 1850s around the Archibald Flour Mill, and the riverfront ruins still give the area a lot of its historic character. Highway 3 runs right through town and connects quickly to Interstate 35, giving commuters an easy 45-minute drive into the Twin Cities or a short trip south to Faribault.

For everyday needs, Dundas shares many of its resources with neighboring Northfield. Local kids attend Northfield Public Schools, and residents make the quick drive across city lines for clinics, grocery stores, and the shops and restaurants surrounding Carleton and St. Olaf colleges. Back home, life moves at a slower pace around neighborhood parks, walking trails along the river, and summer baseball games at Memorial Park, making it a comfortable landing spot for anyone looking for small-town living with bigger conveniences right next door.
