Dunellen is a borough in Middlesex County, New Jersey, situated in the heart of the Raritan Valley. Incorporated in 1887 from portions of Piscataway Township, the community of approximately 7,900 lies along the historic Central Railroad of New Jersey corridor. The area has deep historical roots, with native Lenape archaeological sites documented in a 1915 survey, and is served by its own public school district including the John P. Faber Elementary School.
