East Avon, NY

East Avon is a hamlet and census-designated place in the Town of Avon, at the point where U.S. 20 and New York 5 run together through northern Livingston County. The roads put East Avon two miles east of the village of Avon and five miles west of Lima, so the community's identity follows a crossroads within the larger town boundary. The First Presbyterian Church of Avon stands at the northeast corner and entered the National Register of Historic Places in 2005. The church and highway junction give East Avon its clearest landmarks.
