East Haven, CT

East Haven is a New Haven County town on Long Island Sound, just east of New Haven. It began as Iron Works Village before becoming East Haven in the early 1700s, and it still has a strong older-town identity. The Shore Line Trolley Museum, East Haven Historical Society, Italian-American community, and shoreline neighborhoods all help define the place. East Haven feels closely tied to New Haven, but its beaches, local schools, and town traditions give it a separate character.
