East Kapolei, HI

East Kapolei is a census-designated place on the south side of Oahu, bordered by Kapolei to the west, Ewa Villages to the south, and other growing leeward communities nearby. It is part of Honolulu County but feels tied to the newer suburban expansion of West Oahu. East Kapolei is still developing compared with older towns on the island, with housing, transit planning, schools, and open land shaping its identity. Its role is practical: room for growth in a crowded island metro.
