East Palestine is a village in Columbiana County, Ohio, situated directly on the Pennsylvania state border. First platted in 1828 as Mechanicsburg and developing a rich nineteenth-century history in ceramics and tire manufacturing along the Norfolk Southern Railway, the industrial community of approximately 4,696 is served by the East Palestine City School District locally today.
