About New Castle

New Castle is a city and the county seat of Lawrence County, Pennsylvania, situated at the confluence of the Shenango River and Neshannock Creek. Historically developing as a major railroad hub, the community of approximately 21,579 was the site of the first Warner Brothers theater, the Cascade, which opened in 1907. Public education is served by the New Castle Area School District.
