Eastmont, WA

Eastmont is a census-defined community in unincorporated Snohomish County, southeast of central Everett. The Census Bureau created the Eastmont CDP for 2010 when it divided the former Seattle Hill-Silver Firs CDP among several new areas and annexed territory. The 2020 census counted 24,059 residents within Eastmont's 5.11 square miles. Large residential subdivisions occupy most of that area, with 19th Avenue SE, also designated State Route 527, providing the main north-south commercial and travel corridor. The municipal boundary is easy to miss on the ground. Parts of Eastmont use Everett mailing addresses and are commonly described as unincorporated Everett, even though they lie outside the city government.

That distinction affects the practical details of living here. Snohomish County handles land-use authority in the unincorporated area, South County Fire supplies fire and emergency medical service, and the Silver Lake Water and Sewer District serves much of the community. Utility boundaries do not perfectly follow the CDP. Everett's 2026 wastewater facility plan found that much of Eastmont still used on-site sewage systems, while some properties received public sewer service from Everett or neighboring districts. The service district and sewer arrangement depend on the specific property, regardless of its Everett postal address. Eastmont has no separate city hall or traditional downtown, so everyday services are spread along 19th Avenue and across nearby parts of Everett, Mill Creek, and unincorporated county neighborhoods.

Sound Transit Route 513 stopped serving Eastmont Park & Ride in 2026. Community Transit routes 903, 904, and 905 connect the Eastmont area with South Everett Freeway Station, where Route 512 runs to Lynnwood for Link light rail toward Seattle. Nearby McCollum Pioneer Park provides a different kind of shared destination. Its 78 acres include wooded paths and a cricket field; riders use the BMX track, and Northwest Stream Center visitors cross North Creek wetlands on an elevated boardwalk.
