About Eastview

Eastview is a McNairy County town on Selmer’s south side, concentrated around the intersection of U.S. Route 45 and Tennessee State Route 57 a few miles north of the Tennessee-Mississippi line. Its name came from a three-room house and filling station established by the Littlejohn family in 1927; both buildings faced east. Eastview incorporated in 1967, and its municipal boundaries stretch along U.S. 45 toward Selmer to the north and Guys to the south.

The highway junction still organizes the town’s daily geography. Eastview’s town office and civic center sit on the Route 57 corridor, and the town provides its own water service within a small mayor-alderman government. Selmer supplies the nearest larger town connection, while the roads south lead toward Guys and the state line. The route also links the town with McNairy County’s rural communities on either side of Selmer. Eastview is a Tennessee place whose name preserves a family filling station and whose present map remains tied to the same north-south route.
