About Edgemont Park

Edgemont Park is an Ingham County CDP of 2,326 residents in the 2020 census, administered within Lansing Charter Township on the west side of the Lansing area. Lansing borders it to the north and east, Saginaw Street marks the southern edge, and Waverly lies to the west across the county line. The Grand River follows part of the northern boundary, giving this small residential community a clear edge beyond its street grid. The neighborhood parks make the local scale easy to picture. One-acre Gould Park has a basketball court, playground, picnic shelter, book exchange, and educational signs.

Ten-acre Thomas F. Keegan Park sits along the Grand River with natural ground, benches, and walking and jogging trails; the land was donated in 1967 with a promise that it remain primarily natural. Saginaw Highway and West Main Street carry the broader township's west-side connections toward Lansing. Gould and Keegan parks keep places to play, sit, and walk close to home, giving the neighborhood two distinct everyday destinations.
