About Edgerton

Edgerton is a Williams County village in Ohio's far northwest corner, where the St. Joseph River runs along the eastern edge. St. Joseph Township was established in 1832, the village was platted in 1854 by Charles Pratt, and incorporation followed in 1865 under the name of land agent Alfred P. Edgerton. The village park began with land Alfred donated for a public square, giving the place a direct link between its namesake and its town center. Edgerton is a northwest Ohio place with a river on one side and a donated square at its heart.
