Edgewater, MD

Edgewater is an Anne Arundel County community southwest of Annapolis, on the south side of the tidal South River. It is a suburb, but the water gives it a distinctive Chesapeake feel, with marinas, creeks, waterfront neighborhoods, and access to parks and boating close by. Anne Arundel County Public Schools serve the area, and Annapolis provides nearby jobs, restaurants, and government activity. Edgewater feels relaxed and water-oriented, more local and residential than downtown Annapolis but still tied to the capital region.
