Elba, AL

Elba is a historic city and the county seat of Coffee County, Alabama, sharing courthouse duties with the neighboring city of Enterprise. Situated in western Coffee County along a northern bypass of U.S. Route 84, the community originated in the 1830s around a ferry crossing on the Pea River. Today, the river remains central to the city's identity and geographical setting. The town of thirty-five hundred residents is part of the Enterprise micropolitan area and operates the Elba City Public School District.
