About Elizabethville
Elizabethville is a Dauphin County borough founded in 1817 at the northern base of Berry Mountain. It was named for the wife of the site's original owner, and U.S. 209 still runs through the borough, crossing PA 225 near the center. The town sits in Lykens Valley, with Millersburg and the Susquehanna River west and Tower City east. Elizabethville's borough park also connects to an old rail line that continues as a trail toward Weiser State Forest. It is a central Pennsylvania place where mountain, highway, river, and rail line meet.
