Elk Ridge is a city in Utah County, Utah, situated in the foothills of the Wasatch Range. Part of the Provo-Orem metropolitan area, the community of approximately 4,900 was originally incorporated as the town of Salem Hills before renaming in 1978 to honor the herds of elk that wintered in the area. Zoned within the Nebo School District, the city offers residents a scenic, high-elevation residential environment.
