Englewood, FL

Englewood is a Gulf Coast community in Charlotte and Sarasota counties, known for beaches, boating, and a quieter feel than larger Florida resort towns. Archaeological finds show much older human presence, including ceramics from the Weeden Island and security Harbor cultures. Modern Englewood has neighborhoods, local shops, and access to barrier-island beaches such as Manasota Key. It feels relaxed and residential, with enough coastal tourism to matter but not enough to erase its small-town pace.
