Englewood, TN

Englewood is a McMinn County town in the Chestuee Creek Valley, with the Unicoi Mountains rising to the south. The mill chapter reaches back to Eureka Cotton Mills in 1857; the town itself began as Tellico Junction in 1870, and the mill moved there by 1907. The name Englewood followed as the community took shape around the factory. The Englewood Textile Museum keeps that manufacturing history in view, while U.S. 411 and Tennessee 39 run toward Madisonville, Etowah, Athens, and Tellico Plains. The useful local shorthand is mill town, mountain horizon, and two highways.
