Ephesus, GA

Ephesus is a quiet rural town in western Georgia, sitting just two miles from the Alabama state line in Heard County. Home to fewer than 500 residents, the community was originally called Loftin before incorporating in 1964. State Route 100 runs straight through the center of town, connecting neighbors north to Bowdon and southeast to Franklin. Because of local mail delivery routes, home addresses here often list neighboring Roopville or Bowdon, but the town maintains its own distinct identity centered around the local elementary school and Baptist church.
