Estelle, LA

Estelle is a census-designated place in Jefferson Parish, on the West Bank of the New Orleans area. Part of the colonial-era Isleno Barataria settlement was in what is now southern Estelle, giving the area deeper history than its suburban form suggests. Today residents are served by Jefferson Parish Public Schools, and the community sits near Marrero, Woodmere, bayous, levees, and access toward Jean Lafitte National Historical Park and Preserve. Estelle feels residential, local, and unmistakably West Bank.
