About Euclid
Euclid is a Lake Erie city in Cuyahoga County, directly east of Cleveland. It began as part of Euclid Township, first mapped in 1796 and named for the ancient Greek mathematician. The city's lakeshore location, older neighborhoods, industrial history, and postwar suburban growth all matter to its character. Euclid is also tied to youth baseball history through the Pony Baseball League, founded there in 1951. Today it feels like an established inner-ring suburb with real city texture and a working-class Cleveland edge.
