Evarts, KY

Evarts is a home rule-class city in Harlan County, Kentucky, in the United States. The 2020 census counted 859 residents. The post office was opened on February 9, 1855, and named for one of the area's pioneer families. The city was formally incorporated by the state assembly in 1921. Evarts is served by Harlan County Public Schools. The district operates Evarts Elementary School, Black Mountain Elementary School, and Harlan County High School.
