The Census-defined ʻEwa Beach community occupies 1.19 square miles on the south side of Oʻahu, west of Pearl Harbor. The 2020 census counted 16,415 residents, or 13,782.5 per square mile. During 2020 through 2024, households averaged 4.20 members, while adults age 65 or older made up 21.1 percent. Asian residents accounted for 53.5 percent, Native Hawaiian and Other Pacific Islander residents for 12.8 percent, and residents reporting two or more races for 26.3 percent. More than one-quarter were born outside the United States, and 35.3 percent spoke a language other than English at home. Homeownership stood at 72.9 percent; median owner-occupied value was $748,800, median gross rent was $2,522, and the mean trip to work was 38.0 minutes.

Current bus service makes the community's regional connections explicit. Route 42 runs seven days a week from ʻEwa Beach through Waipahu, Pearlridge, and the Arizona Memorial area to Waikīkī; Route 47 links ʻEwa Beach with the Keoneʻae University of Hawaiʻi–West Oʻahu Skyline station, and Route 91 provides weekday express trips to and from downtown Honolulu. A different kind of daily activity occurs at the ʻEwa Beach Public and School Library on the James Campbell High School campus. The branch has forty public computers, Wi-Fi, and a meeting room. Its July 2026 calendar included chair exercise, bingo, karaoke, mahjong, preschool storytime, line dancing, and crafts, serving age groups from young children to older adults in one shared public facility.
