Fairdale, PA

Fairdale is a Greene County census-designated place in Cumberland Township, south of Carmichaels along Pennsylvania Route 88. The 2010 census counted 2,059 residents. The place is part of the road-and-farm pattern of southwestern Pennsylvania: houses and side roads spread out from the main route, with wooded hills rising around the township. Carmichaels is the nearby reference point, and Route 88 carries the connection south toward Point Marion and north toward the Monongahela country.

Fairdale does not have the separate municipal machinery of a borough or city, which is part of its character.
