Fairview, OR (City)

Fairview gives you a great mix of historic character and modern neighborhood convenience. On the west side, Old Town highlights the area's agricultural roots with landmarks like the Heslin House Museum and a historic 1915 two-cell jail. Just down the road, Fairview Village was developed in the 1990s as a walkable, master-planned community. It brings together single-family homes, townhouses, and neighborhood shops around City Hall and Community Park, creating an easy place to run errands, grab coffee, or take an evening stroll.

Water and natural scenery shape much of the city. Fairview Creek flows north into Fairview Lake, while Blue Lake Regional Park and the Columbia River sit right along the northern border. It is a fantastic location for anyone who enjoys the outdoors, with plenty of opportunities for paddling, fishing, trail walking, or launching a boat at Chinook Landing. Because the waterfront parks sit a bit north of the main commercial corridors, having a car or a good bicycle makes getting to the water much easier.

Daily travel and commuting center on Northeast Halsey Street, which connects Fairview directly to neighboring Troutdale and into Portland. TriMet's Route 77 bus runs regularly along the corridor, giving residents a solid public transit link across the east side. Community Park serves as the local gathering place throughout the year, hosting popular neighborhood traditions like the annual summer festival and holiday tree lighting. Positioned right between big-city amenities and the Columbia River Gorge, Fairview offers a relaxed, small-town setting on the edge of the metro area.
