About Falconer
Falconer is a Chautauqua County village on the Chadakoin River, the outlet from Chautauqua Lake, and it sits right against Jamestown’s eastern edge. The river flows through the village before meeting Cassadaga Creek farther northeast, giving Falconer a place in the larger lake-and-river system. The ground also carries older history: the Erie people lived here before years of war led to their displacement and absorption into Seneca communities. Falconer is a New York village with water running through the middle, Jamestown at the western border, and Indigenous history beneath the modern street grid.
