Farmingdale, NJ

Farmingdale is a tiny, close-knit borough of around 1,500 residents in Monmouth County, completely surrounded by the much larger Howell Township. Spanning less than a square mile, it has the distinct feel of a traditional small town with walkable residential streets centered around Main Street. While the neighborhood itself is quiet and compact, nearby connections to Route 33, Route 9, and Interstate 195 make commuting or exploring Central Jersey easy.

Families appreciate having a dedicated community school, with Farmingdale Elementary serving children from pre-kindergarten through eighth grade before they head to Howell High School. Day-to-day life revolves around local shops, community parks, and familiar neighbors, while neighboring towns handle larger errands. Freehold and Howell provide easy access to supermarkets, healthcare, and retail centers, and the beaches of the Jersey Shore are only about twenty minutes away.
