Tucked along Interstate 15 at the base of the Pahvant Mountains, Fillmore is a quiet central Utah town of around 2,600 residents. It holds a unique spot in state history as Utah's original territorial capital, founded in 1851 and named after President Millard Fillmore. The legislature relocated to Salt Lake City in 1856, and the preserved Territorial Statehouse remains a centerpiece of the community.
