Flourtown is a census-designated place in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, spanning portions of Springfield and Whitemarsh townships. Founded in 1743 and named for a flouring mill that once served regional farmers along the Wissahickon Creek, the community of approximately 5,000 is adjacent to Chestnut Hill and Erdenheim. Public education is administered by the Springfield Township School District and the Colonial School District.
