Forest Hills, KY

Forest Hills is a home rule-class city in eastern Jefferson County, where the 2020 census counted 438 residents. The city was formally incorporated by the Kentucky General Assembly in 1959 and now sits inside the Louisville area’s eastern orbit. Hurstbourne Acres borders it to the northwest, while Jeffersontown surrounds the other sides. Interstate 64 passes just north of the city, with access at Exit 15 and a direct route west toward downtown Louisville.

Forest Hills is small in area but sits in a busy suburban geography. Taylorsville Road and Hurstbourne Parkway frame a mix of homes and business properties, while the local streets lead quickly into Jeffersontown, Hurstbourne Acres, and the rest of eastern Jefferson County. The city keeps its own municipal boundary and mayor-council routines inside a region organized around Louisville roads and employment centers.
