Fortuna, MO

Fortuna is a quiet rural community in Moniteau County, located along Missouri Route 5 about forty miles west of Jefferson City. Positioned right between Tipton to the north and Versailles to the south, it gives residents a direct route to nearby grocery stores, schools, and local businesses. The community established its post office in 1882 and took its name from the Roman goddess of fortune, adding an interesting bit of history to this corner of central Missouri.
