Foster, IN

Foster is a small unincorporated community in Mound Township, Warren County, in the U.S. state of Indiana. The 2020 census counted 104 residents. Foster was platted on April 25, 1893, on land donated by William R. Foster, an early settler. Foster is in the Covington Community School Corporation. That mix gives Foster a clear local shape within Indiana, with older layers still visible in current places. The local scoop is a place whose streets, landmarks, and institutions keep its earlier story close to the present. The Vermilion Valley Railroad passes through Fowler, and the north fork of Spring Creek flows along its western edge.
