About Four Oaks

Four Oaks is a town in Johnston County, North Carolina, situated southwest of Smithfield along the Wilmington and Weldon Railroad route. Named for oak sprouts growing from a stump and incorporated in 1889, the community of approximately 2,459 features Holts Lake and the annual Four Oaks Acorn Festival, and is served by Johnston County Public Schools.
