About Fulda
Fulda is a Murray County city founded along the Milwaukee Road in 1881, when German settlers and other immigrant families gave the place its first shape. The name comes from Fulda in Hesse, Germany. U.S. 59 runs along the eastern edge, with Slayton to the northwest and Worthington to the south, while Fulda Lake and nearby Heron Lake keep water in the local map. Fulda is southwest Minnesota with a railroad beginning, a German name, and two lakes close at hand.
