Tucked into the redwood-covered hills of southern Humboldt County, Garberville is a quiet river town along the South Fork of the Eel River. With fewer than a thousand residents, it serves as the main commercial hub for the surrounding rural valley, offering grocery stores, local diners, and essential services. Highway 101 runs right past town, making for a straightforward drive north toward Humboldt Redwoods State Park or south into Mendocino County, while neighboring Redway sits just a couple miles down the road.

Families rely on the Southern Humboldt school district, with campuses spread across nearby valley towns, alongside local health clinics, community events, and independent shops along Redwood Drive.
