Garden City, UT

Garden City is a Rich County town on the western shore of Bear Lake at Utah's border with Idaho. The 2020 census counted 602 residents. The town's geography is inseparable from the lake: Bear Lake State Park and its marina occupy the shoreline, while Logan Canyon is the road connection west. Garden City provides water to town residents, while the Bear Lake Special Service District handles sanitary sewer, and the state park manages services within its boundaries. Bear Lake sets the town's working geography year-round.

Heritage Park is the town's event center, and the annual Raspberry Days celebrates the local berry harvest with a parade, vendors, concerts, pancake breakfast, fishing tournament, and other competitions; the 2026 festival runs August 6–8. That seasonal rhythm sits alongside town planning for land use, transportation, water, and the marina. Garden City is a small municipal place whose work and calendar are shaped by a major lake, a state park, and the summer businesses around Bear Lake.
