Gaylesville is a town in Cherokee County, Alabama, situated on the north side of the Chattooga River where it enters Weiss Lake. Named for George W. Gayle, this northeast Alabama community has a population of approximately one hundred and seventy residents. The town is served by the local Gaylesville School, which serves students from kindergarten through twelfth grade as part of the Cherokee County School System.
